Eyebrow trends are changing just as fast as fashion
Eyebrow trends are changing just as fast as fashion – ask anyone whose eyebrows survived the ‘oh so skinny’ brow trend in the 90s! I mean, you cannot change them like you would a new handbag but you can update your look. So, for this month’s beauty edit, I am here to reveal 2020’s hottest new brow styles.
The Boy Brow
This look is all about embracing bushy, brushed up, bigger brows. It’s youthful, low-maintenance and effortless (well almost)! The mono-brow is also trending, so keep those brows a little closer together. For a softer look, get your brow stylist to tweezer in the middle and keep a little extra on either side. You could also fake the look by adding a few fine hair-like strokes. Think Cara Delevingne for the boy inspired brow.
Shadow Brow
With soft definition and 3D texture, this brow has ‘chic’ written all over it. This look is simple in application and appearance. Create a shadow (hence the name) by buffing a base layer of brow powder through the body of the brow, making sure you follow the natural curves. Finish with a brow gel for added dimension. This understated brow is effortlessly glam.
Dewy Brow
Healthy, radiant, glowing skin is what we all want – and 2020 sees the arrival of this on the brows too. This high-fashion look calls for wax-finish formulas or generous layers of clear brow gel for a sumptuous appearance. I am personally not sold on this brow finish, but if the dewy brow keeps hitting the catwalks it could be here to stay.

Toned Down
If the brow trends above are slightly too adventurous for you – the laid-back brow is here (thank me later). From the big, bold power brows of recent years, a well welcomed understated brow is back. Filled in lightly with a pencil to match the natural shade of your hair and undertones of your skin, we’ll be seeing more of this neat au-naturel look as the year goes on.
Eyebrows have the power to make or break your look. They define your facial features and can frame your eyes beautifully. However, before you grab those tweezers and start attacking every little hair, it could be a good idea to get some advice from a professional and discuss your desired style.
Now is the time to raise your brow game!
